Dancing Into The New Year

Well the holiday season is definitely in full swing. I feel like I have been running all around since Thanksgiving. It also doesn't help I came down with that awful cold that has been going around too. As busy as I am, my cousin is currently even busier. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this yet on the blog but my cousin is getting married next year and I am in the wedding!

As a member of the wedding party, I have quickly becoming an expert in all things wedding (or in my mind I have)--including what I may or may not want for my future wedding. Weddington Way asked me to come up with the perfect bridesmaid look for a New Year's Eve wedding and I quickly agreed. I have always thought it would be pretty fun to have a wedding on New Year's Eve since everyone is always looking for a party to attend and what's better than a wedding party? Nothing.

How cute is this dress? And navy is one of the most universally flattering colors. I would even rewear it to an office cocktail party or holiday party. I figured since it is a New Year's Eve wedding, gold glitter shoes are definitely in order. In my mind New Year's Eve = gold glitter. Now I just need to find a guy since the majority of my wedding is planned.

Side note: I wish I had known about Weddington Way when my cousin was looking for bridesmaid dresses since they literally make it so easy to find the style of dress you want in the color you want.  And the best part? They even have dresses you can rent!!

Travel Tuesdays: Destination Wedding

For a year or so now, I've been thinking that when I get married, I want a destination wedding (not that this is happening anytime soon). After going to my friend's wedding in Miami (even though that was technically not a destination wedding since she is from Miami and lives there), I knew I wanted a  destination wedding. It was so much fun to be hanging out with friends on vacation and then going to a wedding.  I'm not sure where exactly my destination wedding will be but most likely somewhere with palm trees.

Do you have any ideas of where you want your wedding or if you are married where did you get married?

Style Files: Wedding

Sorry for dropping off the face of the planet last week, but my life ended up getting unexpectedly crazy. I have a lot of catching up to do on everyone's blog. I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was spent relaxing on my roof and getting caught up on necessary tasks like grocery shopping and laundry.

Here is an outfit very similar to the one I wore at friend's wedding. I seriously need this Zara dress in my life. How cute are those bows on the back? And I am absolutely in love with this cork clutch from J.Crew. You can easily dress it up or down. Also, always wear wedges when you go to a wedding since your feet won't be hurting from all the dancing.

What did you do this weekend? Any plans to attend any weddings soon?

What Happens in Miami...

My friend's wedding really was the prettiest wedding I've ever been to and I could not have been happier to take part in my friend's special day. It was the first wedding I've been to that was for a friend and not a relative and that made the day all the more special. Plus it was super fun to be with all your friends while you celebrate.

The fabulous group of ladies that I am so lucky to know.

The gorgeous venue where the bride got married.

Fans that literally saved us from melting during the ceremony. Miami was scorching hot.

Most adorable idea ever. Guests write messages to the bride and groom on vintage postcards.

The absolutely delicious dessert table. I wish I had enough room to try one of everything, but everything I did try was heavenly.

Cheers with the bride!

Me being mischievous at dinner the night before the wedding.

Me and my lovely friend goofing around before the wedding.

I'll do a post of what I wore in Miami later in the week :)

Thanks to my lovely friends Stacy and Kathleen since I borrowed their photos.

We're Going To The Chapel...

I'm back! Well sorta since I only got about 12 hours of asleep in total from Friday to Sunday, but it was completely worth it since I've never had so much fun or seen a prettier wedding. Literally my friend will be the next Martha Stewart. I'll give you more details tomorrow when my brain is not completely mush from lack of sleep. Here is a quick overview of the wedding weekend from mine and my friend's instagram's.

How was your weekend?
