Spring LBD Style

I am so happy right now. It is finally feeling like spring in New York! It certainly has taken along enough after this winter. Either way, I am just so happy I can dust off my spring clothes or have a perfect excuse to buy some new ones.

Is there anything better than a perfect little black dress? It's the one style that will definitely never go out of style. This spring, the little black dress is getting updated to midi length--one of hottest trends right now and I for one cannot wait to get my hands on a midi style dress. I love how this little black dress can be worn to work and then happy hour drinks afterwards. I paired it with a fun tassel necklace, which is another trend that has been popping up everywhere. I do love how tassels make every outfit seem more fun.

Living Room Style

As I have only mentioned a hundred times before, I am still in the process of decorating my apartment (yes, I know I am a slow decorator but I like finding the perfect items and that takes time). I actually got several prints for my gallery wall (including these Kate Spade prints I wanted!) for Christmas, but I am still working on how I want to arrange them on my gallery wall.

There are still a few things left to do in my apartment so I am always looking at home decor photos for inspiration of what I need to still buy. I created a mood board highlighting one of Modani's gorgeous couches. I used the color scheme of black, white, pink, and silver to create a stylish living room with a girly touches.  I would love to someday live in an apartment that looked like this. I am obsessed with having these trunks be used as a sidetable for a unique twist. I also love this black cube! One of the things I definitely still need for my apartment is more sitting room and I love how sleek looking it is. I highly recommend checking out Modani if you are in the market for new furniture.

Holiday Essentials

With the holidays almost upon us, I tend to be extra crazed trying to get all my last minute shopping and wrapping done. It is always ends up being the weekend before Christmas when I have to get all my wrapping done, which leaves me feeling very stressed. Not exactly what I want to be feeling during the holidays. Luckily, I have a few tricks up my sleeves that always help me power through these stressful holiday times. Man Crates, an amazing company that sends cool customized crates to men, asked me to put together my list of items that get me through the holiday season.

Santa Margarita Wine (wine glasses)- I love all wine, but this is definitely my favorite. Nothing is better than opening up a bottle of wine after a stressful day or just in general. I highly recommend this wine to anyone who is looking for a great wine for their wino friends.

Williams-Sonoma Peppermint Bark- I am addicted to this stuff. Literally. I can eat this whole tin within a day. If you come over my apartment during the holidays, I will most likely be snacking on some form of peppermint bark. To me peppermint bark tastes just like Christmas and the Williams-Sonoma kind is the best kind.

Sugar Paper Holiday Cards- How cute are these holiday cards?! Sugar Paper definitely makes some of the best holiday cards (and cards in general). I love sending out cards to my family and friends. They are also perfect for giving to coworkers as well!

Love Actually- I don't even know how many times I have watched this movie. Back in college, I used to watch this movie on repeat while I wrote my final papers (it totally helped since I always aced them). Even now, I still put it on when I am wrapping all my gifts. Without a doubt, it is one of my favorite movies.

Threshold Blanket- My apartment can get very chilly right now. There is nothing better than snuggling under a cozy blanket with a glass of wine in hand (and hopefully Love Actually on the TV). That actually would be one of my favorite ways to unwind on weekends. And how cute is this festive one from Target?!

Anthropologie Hot Buttered Rum Candle- I am in LOVE with the smell of this candle. It is probably one of the best smelling candles I have ever smelled. It not only makes my apartment smell delicious while I wrap presents, but it puts me in a good mood.

Scotch Pop-Up Tape- I'm not sure if I would be able to wrap presents without this pop-up tape. Or I could but the presents would look like a hot mess. The pop-up tape makes it so easy to wrap gifts and have the gifts actually look good.

If you are still looking for a gift for your guy/brother/dad, seriously check out Man Crates. They have amazing crates such as Zombie Survival Crate (hilarious for the Walking Dead fan!) or Whiskey Connoisseur Crate (perfect for my BFF) that would make great gifts! I kinda want to order one just for myself. But first, I would need to buy a crowbar or find a guy that has one.

Dancing Into The New Year

Well the holiday season is definitely in full swing. I feel like I have been running all around since Thanksgiving. It also doesn't help I came down with that awful cold that has been going around too. As busy as I am, my cousin is currently even busier. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this yet on the blog but my cousin is getting married next year and I am in the wedding!

As a member of the wedding party, I have quickly becoming an expert in all things wedding (or in my mind I have)--including what I may or may not want for my future wedding. Weddington Way asked me to come up with the perfect bridesmaid look for a New Year's Eve wedding and I quickly agreed. I have always thought it would be pretty fun to have a wedding on New Year's Eve since everyone is always looking for a party to attend and what's better than a wedding party? Nothing.

How cute is this dress? And navy is one of the most universally flattering colors. I would even rewear it to an office cocktail party or holiday party. I figured since it is a New Year's Eve wedding, gold glitter shoes are definitely in order. In my mind New Year's Eve = gold glitter. Now I just need to find a guy since the majority of my wedding is planned.

Side note: I wish I had known about Weddington Way when my cousin was looking for bridesmaid dresses since they literally make it so easy to find the style of dress you want in the color you want.  And the best part? They even have dresses you can rent!!

Let's Talk Men {Fashion}

While I might be undecided about how I want to dress this fall, I can certainly tell you how every guy should dress. It is a universal fact that a well-dressed man dramatically increases his attractiveness--- or at least it does in my world. As someone who has mainly worked in the fashion world, I have certain expectations as to how men should dress. Let's just say the whole rolling out of bed look does not cut it.

Enter Bonobos, the e-commerce site delivering well-crafted men's clothing. For guys, it is the one stop shop site they need to have bookmarked (it's also great for girls who never know what to buy the guys in their lives). Bonobos just launched their Fall 2014 Men’s Suit Collection! The collection features gorgeous wool suits, tweed blazers and tuxedos. Guys will definitely have to watch their suit jackets when wearing pieces from this line since girls will definitely want to steal the jackets and not give them back (especially this exquisite tweed one!).

The whole line is finely crafted with the best Italian wool and handsome details like the fun polka dot lining in the suit above. I am a major sucker for details like a polka dot lining. The suits come in Standard and Slim fits making it easy for any guy to find the right option for them (although if anyone is taking notes, I prefer the slim cut-- it just looks so sharp). The suits also come in every color a man could possibly need.

Bonobos' Fall 2014 Men's Suit Collection covers everything a guy might need need this fall from cool blazers for nights out to smart suits for work to dapper suits for a special occasions like a wedding or gala (you will easily win the award for Best Dressed Man if you come in this). Guys get it so easy when it comes to fall fashion thanks to Bonobos.
