Room for One More?

If I could take over anyone's life, I am almost 100% certain I would pick Lauren Conrad. I love how even through all her reality show fame she has worked hard and remained true to herself. It also helps that I would kill to raid her closet. I am a fan of anyone that is always able to look polished and put together.

I recently came across these gorgeous pictures of her Beverly Hills Penthouse that were published a few months ago in InStyle. If she for some reason needs someone to be a house sitter, I volunteer as tribute. How glamourous is her kitchen?! It would actually inspire me to use the kitchen to cook (well maybe, let's not get ahead of ourselves). And I am obsessed with the exposed brick in her living room. Maybe one day I will be able to liver here or some place similar?

See even more here.

Gallery Wall Update

Okay, so I was not planning on doing this post today, but Kate Spade just announced that they created a collection Salon Wall prints that can be seen all their stores. No one does gallery walls better than Kate Spade as evidence by the ones that are always in their stores. As I am still in the process of creating the gallery wall in my apartment, I was over the moon. I was especially enthralled with their New York Print and Travel Print as my apartment has a travel theme to it. Now anyone who is wondering what to get me for Christmas can get me one of those prints.

Who wouldn't want one of these under their Christmas tree this year? I know I would love it.

PSA

This is another public service announcement. Run to your local target (or be lazy like me and use target.com) to buy this amazing steal of a bar cart! I was on the hunt for forever for a bar car as I could not justify spending $400+ on one (sorry, Society Social Bar Carts) and I swear there were no cute ones in existence. Then the great Target gods answered my wishes and brought back their hugely popular Threshold Gold Bar Cart for me. Let's just say it doesn't stay in stock long as it was available for a few weeks over the summer but it quickly sold out. So like I said run, don't walk to your nearest Target.
Also I can attest to how perfect this bar cart is for both serving guests during events as well as being used for storage space (and as everyone in tiny apartments knows, you can always use more storage space). The only finishing touches needed for it are some great wine glasses, highball glasses, and paper straws and let the entertaining begin.

Eclectic Glamour

Life in the Big Apple never slows down. Make sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with my adventures in the city as I have been running around like crazy.

As I've only mentioned several times before, I recently moved into a new apartment and am constantly on the lookout for inspiration for how to decorate it. I stumbled across pictures of Canadian blogger and Style at Home's design editor Jessica Wak's gorgeous home and fell in love. Seriously, I would like to move in please. I am obsessed with how she mixed glam gold details and girly bright accents with classic finishes. I would very much like to duplicate her living room as it is absolute perfection. That black and white striped couch with pink pillows--I die! And how cute is her powder room with animal print wall paper?!

Anyone else want to move in now?

Lions and Tigers and Trays--Oh My

As you know, I recently moved into a new apartment that I have been busy trying to decorate. The hardest part I've been found is finding a place for all my little knickknacks like my matches collection or bar tools. Solution-- putting them on adorable little plates and trays. Here are just a few of the trays that I have my eye on. I definitely need a few more to get my jewelry collection under control.

Save or Splurge

As I mentioned in my last post, I have a new apartment to decorate! I have been actively scouring interior design sites to get ideas for my apartment. I am in desperate need of sitting space that won't take up much room.

Enter Moroccan pouf. It's the perfect size for my apartment-- and it adds a fun pop of color. Unfortunately, it is way out of my budget, even on those flash sites like Joss & Main or One Kings Lane. Enter the Kid's Version of the pouf. It's only slightly smaller AND you can wipe it clean if it gets dirty, which you cannot do with the real version. It also comes in a variety of fun colors just like the Moroccan pouf. Best of all it's 1/5 of the price!

Now the hardest part. Picking which color to buy!

Apartment Design

With a new apartment comes a fresh chance to decorate. As a result, I have been on Pinterest hunt looking for inspiration for how to decorate my room and the living room. How amazing is the black kitchen? Sadly, that is not going to be something that will happen in this apartment.
